Burstable T1 service is the ideal solution for customers requiring very high bandwidth in bursts. The full T1 bandwidth is available all the time, but we tier our pricing so that customers who typically use less than 512 Kbps of bandwidth pay a lower rate. The first tier (128 Kbps) is appropriate for organizations running moderately busy servers or transferring modest numbers of large files. The top tier (512 Kbps and up) supports applications such as large FTP, World Wide Web servers, extensive video or image file transfers, and CAD/CAM file transfers. Many of our customers start out at the first tier and upgrade as their usage increases.

Included with your Burstable T1 connection is the finest installation and technical support in the industry. You will also receive the following, which are included as part of the standard service offering:

• Provisioning of the access circuit from your site to our hub
• Domain name and IP address registration for your site
• Primary and/or secondary Domain Name Service (DNS)
• Advice on how to configure your network to transfer Internet e-mail and news.
• Technical support regarding Internet applications, available Monday through Friday, 8a.m. — 8p.m.(ET)
• Proactive network monitoring and support, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

What's different about our T1 service?

Most other service providers have nothing comparable to our Burstable T1 service; they offer only fractional T1 service or a much more expensive full T1 option. We have found that most of our T1 customers experience busy peak times every day when they need full T1 bandwidth. With a fractional T1 service, their traffic slows down; with our Flexible service, they receive the extra bandwidth when they need it.
