Diverse T1 uses two T1 circuits from one router at the customer's site. The two Diverse T1 circuits are delivered to two diverse Internet hubs. It is an ideal solution for organizations with heavy traffic loads seeking redundancy.

Diverse T1 service offers active routing, so the two T1s are configured for "load sharing" of outbound traffic from the customer's site. This means that outbound packets are distributed between the two T1 circuits on a per-destination basis. Inbound traffic to the site uses the two T1 links simultaneously.
